Whenever the church congregation gathers, there is prayer. Even as we believe the basis of our relationship with God is God’s Spirit speaking to us through His Word, so we believe that we are called to speak back to Him in prayer. This is the part of our relationship with God that we practice individually, as we pray regularly alone; and also corporately, as we meet regularly to talk to God in prayer. In our services, we may have times for silent prayer, prayers led by the pastor, or prayers led by another member of the congregation. As Baptists we believe prayer to be a very important part of each service.
